There will be candles in Birgu!

On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of October, Heritage Malta is inviting the public to enjoy the Maritime Museum of Malta, the Inquisitor's Palace and Fort Saint Angelo, all in Birgu, at discounted rates, guided tours and extended times.

On Saturday 12th, the day that should have been Birgu By Candlelight 2024 but was recently cancelled due to ongoing works in Birgu square, all three sites will be adorned with the beautiful light of candles and torches.

General admission tickets, which include entry to all three sites, are priced at €3. Tickets for the guided tours, which must be booked in advance at a price of €5 per site, and will be available at all Heritage Malta museums and sites and online at www.heritagemalta.mt/store in the next few days.

With the possibility that others may also participate in a much scaled down version of Birgu By Candlelight, all is not totally lost for those hoping to experience this magical event for themselves.
