A celebration of Saint Lawrence and the opening of the Birgu Candlelight Company shop within the walls of the Church of St. Lawrence.

Along with our opening, we celebrate the inauguration of the beautifully restored dome within the church and also the Feast Of St. Lawrence itself, which takes place annually during August. If you are in Birgu during this time, you will know what a truly special place this is for everyone involved.

Viva San Lawrenz is a fruity and floral fragrance with fresh top notes of bergamot, lemon and pear. Soft notes of freesia, magnolia, orchid, rose and lily of the valley creates the soft heart, followed by a base of musks, dry amber and a touch of patchouli.

About Our Wax Melts

What Are Wax Melts?

Wax melts are basically a wick-less scented candle, they can be found in many different shapes and sizes and they are used in conjunction with a wax warmer. Wax warmers are available in various forms such as a plug-in electrical warmer that contains a low wattage bulb in the base that is just powerful enough to produce the heat to slowly melt the wax sitting above it without the need for a naked flame. Standalone wax warmers have a small tea-light candle placed in the base using the flame to melt the wax above it.

When the scented wax begins to warm up and melt in the wax warmer or burner, unlike candles, the wax does not melt away. The fragrance contained within the wax begins to vaporise and fill the room just like any scented candle.

Our Wax

Our wax is a fine blend of rapeseed and coconut wax (it doesn't smell of coconut!) we use premium grade phthalate-free fragrance oils and a natural fibre waxed cotton wick in our candles.
